All computer classes are open to the public and free but registration is required.


Classes are offered between:
January - May/June and
August/September - November.

Computer Basics
This class is for the beginner. It will introduce some basic computer concepts and terms, how to use a mouse, and how to use the keyboard. This class focuses on computers with a Windows 10 operating system.

Prerequisites:
No computer experience necessary

Internet and Email Basics
The first portion of this class explains how to navigate internet browsers to search the internet. It focuses on web searching and shortcuts. The second portion of this class explains how to open an email account and the different uses of your email account.

Prerequisites:
Students must have basic computer skills and be comfortable using a mouse before taking this class.

Intro to Social Networking
This class will introduce the basics of social networking with sites like Facebook, Twitter, Tumblr, Pinterest, Instagram, Skype and LinkedIn. It will explore each of these sites as requested, start accounts, and how to navigate each site.

Prerequisites:
Basic computer, keyboarding, and Internet skills are required for this class.

An email account

Word Basics
This is a very basic course and is designed for the user new to Microsoft Word 2013. In this class students will create and edit a document, get familiar with the ribbon (editing options), and insert photos/videos.

Prerequisites:
Basic computer skills are required.

Excel Basics
This is a very basic course and is designed for the user new to Microsoft Excel 2013. Students will learn what Excel is and how it to use it by creating a simple spreadsheet. Students will set up a spreadsheet, enter and format data, and do basic mathematical calculations.

Basic computer and keyboarding skills are required for this class

PowerPoint Basics
This is a very basic course and is designed for the user new to Microsoft PowerPoint 2013. Students will learn what PowerPoint is and how to create presentations for different occasions. Students will create and edit a PowerPoint presentation, add transitions and animations, edit and manipulate text/images/videos and more.

Basic computer and keyboarding skills are required for this class
