Signs have been posted on Front Street indicating that paving is to begin within 24 hours. There will likely be no parking on the streets near May Memorial Library beginning Friday May 14, 2010.

The City of Burlington and APAC-Thompson Arthur Paving Company will be resurfacing streets in downtown Burlington, including Spring Street in front of May Memorial Library.
This work is scheduled to begin on Friday, April 30 and should be completed in about 45 days. A majority of the work will be performed in the nighttime or weekend hours, though other work may be scheulded to be completed during normal working hours.
Every effort will be made to maintain traffic and access to all businesses, however due to the nature of the work there will be delays and possible intermittent closures to through traffic.
Additionally, on-street parking will not be allowed during certain portions of the process. The contractor will post "no parking" signs a minimum of 24 hours prior to the actual commencement of work.
This project should not affect pedestrians utilizing adjacent sidewalks.
