Would you like to become more active and involved in your community? Volunteering is a great place to start. Whether you have a little or a lot of time to spare, there is surely an organization that could use your help.
Alamance County Public Libraries will host a Volunteer Fair on Saturday, March 13th from 11 am until 1 pm. This event will be a great opportunity for anyone interested in volunteering to learn about local organizations that could use help. Come browse the tables, meet with representatives, and get a feel for what might be your perfect fit.
If you have any questions or if you’re interested in finding out how your organization can get involved, please contact Rebekah Scott at May Memorial Library at 229-3588.

We all want to think that we can spot a scam from a mile away, but even the most savvy and intelligent investors can be swindled out of their hard-earned money by sophisticated scam artists. Do you know how to recognize investment red flags and the types of scams prevalent today? Barbara Bennett, an Investor Education Specialist with the North Carolina Secretary of State Securities Division, will be at the Graham Public Library on Tuesday, March 16 at 7:00 pm to discuss the warning signs of fraud, how to avoid them, how scammers find you, and why senior citizens are targets.
