Teens Make Waves This Summer
Teens, there's no reason to be bored this summer! Whether you're a reader, a gamer or a crafty type, there's something for you at the library.
If you're into crafts, Mebane Public Library and Graham Public Library have some great things planned for you! Learn to tie-dye with sharpie markers, decorate a pair of flip flops, create jewelry using items found in your parents' tool box and make spa-day treats such as bath salts, soaps and lip gloss.
Graham public Library's Young Adult Book Club has a great line-up of books selected for the summer. In june, we'll discuss Geraldine McCaughrean's novel, Not the End of the World. In July, we'll discuss Susan Beth Pfeffer's Life as We Knew It, and August's selection is Suzanne Collins' The Hunger Games.
Mebane Public Library's iRead Teen Club will kick off their summer reading fun by making their mark on their community with a sidewalk chalk graffiti party. Later this summer, they'll make waves with their Desert Island Pancake Party. Teens will design their perfect pancake and listen to the Teen SRP Desert Island Playlist.
The Anime Club meets monthly at Mebane Public Library to watch anime and discuss their favorite manga. Gamers bring their cards and handheld video games and share their love of gaming.

June 15 -- Join other teens (6th - 12th grade) to talk about great books. Today we will be making sidewalk graffiti with our homemade chalk.
July 20 -- Hardware jewelry workshop.
