Thanks to the Community
Libraries are uniquely positioned at the heart of local communities, enjoying public trust as repositories of knowledge and offering democratic access. Public libraries leverage their assets to open up new possibilities and dynamically engage the community. Alamance County’s mission is to provide learning opportunities for all members of our community to be successful in living a larger life by nurturing the heart and the mind. Fulfilling the mission of ACPL relies on a multitude of resources. First there is library staff that is dedicated to providing excellent customer service, programs and library services to the community. Then there are the many patrons and volunteers that access their local library branch to both use and support services and programs. Finally, there are the many agencies, businesses and organizations that recognize the importance of a Public Library in their community and partner with us to bring the high quality of programs and services to the many citizens of Alamance County. Without their support of our mission, we would not be able to achieve the far-reaching impact of nurturing the hearts and minds of the people of Alamance County. Please join me in saying thank you so very much for the generosity and support these 126 organizations have demonstrated. It is a pleasure and an honor to partner with each and every one of them!
