Murder Mystery Night 2018

Alamance County Public Libraries’ annual murder mystery is sure to be one of the highlights of your summer, filled with intrigue and excitement and a healthy dose of comedy. With help from the audience, it won’t take any time at all to figure out who murdered our victim.

So You Think You Can Sing judge, Simon Scowell, has been stepping on quite a few toes recently, but is that any reason to kill him? Someone certainly thinks so. Could it be one of his fellow judges, Randy Johnson or Poppy Lee Safar? Or perhaps it might be one he has already judged; contestants Frankie Day or Blondelle? Host of the show, Ryan Storm, might have done it. But then again, so could make-up artist Heidi Gearin. Of course who could forget his personal assistant, Samantha Miller? Who had the motive? Who had the heart? Who murdered Simon Scowell?

Between all the gambling debts, backstabbing, and hidden romance, this year’s murder mystery is one not to be missed. Expect anger, secrets, revenge, and what’s a murder mystery without stalker-like tendencies? Not to mention the small musical performances interspersed throughout the show!

The event itself is free and for ages 16 and over only. It will take place at May Memorial Library at 7:00 pm on Friday, July 27th and Saturday, July 28th. Light hors d’oeuvres will be provided, so please come a little hungry. Tickets are currently available at your local library and as always, space is limited, so remember to get yours early!

Emery Lai works in the children’s department of the May Memorial Library.  She can be reached at elai@alamancelibraries.org or (336) 229-3588.
