Happy Holidays from ACPL!

Happy Holidays from ACPL!

As we have now officially entered the holiday season, let me wish everyone a happy holiday(s)!  We at ACPL hope you all have the option of spending time with family and friends during this time of year.  The libraries are always very busy during this season so if you are looking for something to do, or a place to spend some time, join us for some of our holiday celebrations.

Our Winter Reading initiative for adults will begin on December 1st.  If you need some help finding new reading subjects, check out the themed book bundles that will introduce you to some new titles and authors.  Please remember that you are checking out the entire bundle in order to try something new!

Stop by the quick craft table at the Mebane, North Park or May Memorial libraries to make an ornament to either keep or give to one of our 160+ homebound patrons.  The Graham Public Library will be having Santa’s Workshop presented by Home Depot on Saturday, December 8th from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.  Assemble a craft, have storytime with Santa and more!

The Mebane Public Library will be celebrating its Holiday Extravaganza on Monday, December 10th. Enjoy an evening of crafts, games, and holiday treats! Mebanesville will provide seasonal music and Santa will drop by for a special visit!

On Friday, December 14th the May Memorial Library will be participating in Holiday Magic: A Dickens’ Christmas with Downtown Burlington.  Join the fun and games, ornament crafting and Mrs. Claus will all be a part of the May Memorial stop!

While these are some of our highlighted events, there is so much more happening at all of library locations.  Check out the library calendar (https://www.alamancelibraries.org/libraries/calendar/) for more information.  Remember, all library locations will be closed on December 24th. 25th and 26th.

As you can see, we always have a lot of things to do during the holiday season, but we also want to say thank you for your patience and understanding while the libraries are in the process of searching for a new library director.  Happy Holidays!
