Alamance County Public Libraries provide learning opportunities for all members of our community to be successful in living a larger life by nurturing the heart and the mind.

Our library branches remain closed to the public except for 1-hour computer appointments. Library materials are available through downloadable resources or through our curbside service only.

In compliance with Governor Cooper’s Executive Order 147, all patrons utilizing library services must wear a face covering.

Under social distancing practices, library patrons are encouraged to follow the practice of the three W’s:

Wear – a face covering when you go out or are around others and social distancing is not possible
Wait – at least six-feet apart when standing in line
Wash – your hands frequently, and for at least 20 seconds with soap and water

There will be no library fines during this period. We are not accepting donations while the libraries are closed to the public.
