Alamance County Public Libraries is proud to offer a wide variety of programming for all ages. 

Storytimes  – Storytimes happen weekly at all May Memorial, Mebane and Graham Public Libraries.  Check the calendar of events for dates, times and age ranges.


crafts & activities  – Learn about the craft programs and other activities for kids and teens held at our library branches.


book clubs – Book clubs meet once a month at May Memorial, Mebane, and Graham Public Libraries.  Copies are available for check out at the library.


paws for reading – designed to help children improve their reading skills by reading aloud to a registered therapy dog. Children read for 15 minutes in a relaxed, one-on-one session with a loveable dog.

ACPL Zoom Pass Program

Library patrons may check out passes to area attractions such as the Children’s Museum of Alamance County, the NC Zoo, the Maynard Aquatic Center, the Conservators Center and the Durham Museum of Life and Science – absolutely FREE!  Find out more here.

ABCmouse.com helps kids learn to read through phonics, and teaches lessons in math, social studies, art, music, and much more. For kids age 2 to 6 year olds at preschool, pre-k, and kindergarten levels.

A language-learning software with over 70 world language courses and over 17 ESL/ELL courses, featuring an engaging user interface, voice comparison, fresh design, foreign language films, cultural anecdotes, and a user-friendly mobile app.

For kids’ pre - K through 4th grade, NC Kids Digital Library. Over 3,700 eBooks, audiobooks, videos and Read - Alongs are now available to younger readers via 85 regional, county and municipal libraries in North Carolina through OverDrive’s digital reading platform. These materials are instantly available for every child, at home and everywhere.
